Item Type: Pre-Loved
A red wine glass that holds its own without drawing attention to itself. The right size for a proper pour, at a table or standing.
Red wine glass from the Rosenthal Model 20/200 series, designed by Hans Theo Baumann in 1966. Blown glass with a wider bowl than the white wine version, gently tapering at the rim. Allows the wine to breathe without ceremony. Sold as a set of 2.
Hans Theo Baumann (1924–2016) was a Swiss-born industrial designer whose work spanned ceramics, glass, and furniture across a forty-year career. His Model 20/200 series for Rosenthal entered the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York — one of the few mid-century German glass series to be acquired by MoMA. Rosenthal, founded in Bavaria in 1879, became one of Europe's most significant design-led manufacturers through the postwar decades, commissioning designers including Tapio Wirkkala, Walter Gropius, and Baumann himself.

- Hand wash recommended — dishwasher heat and movement can chip the rim

- Dry upright, not inverted, to avoid moisture trapping at the base of the bowl
- Store rim-up — the widest point of the bowl is the most vulnerable in storage
Item Details:
Light scratching on the base of one glass consistent with regular use. The finish on both is intact — rim, bowl, and body clean throughout. The structure is sound on both pieces.
