Guzzini was founded in Recanati, in the Marche region of Italy, in 1912. Through the mid-twentieth century the house became one of Europe's leading producers of acrylic and plastic homeware, working with designers to bring considered form to everyday objects. This piece dates from the 1980s, a period when Guzzini's acrylic work was at its most refined — clear material, disciplined geometry, Italian production.
