Bavarian Porcelain Soup Plates | Set of 2 · 22cm

Item Type: Pre-Loved

A quiet table set with white porcelain — the kind that makes whatever is in the bowl the only thing that matters.

Pure white porcelain with a gentle swirl relief and a scalloped edge. The form is restrained and precise — the kind of tableware that reads as considered rather than decorated. Each plate is 22 cm in diameter, the right scale for soup, pasta, or a composed salad. The weight — 350 g per plate — gives them substance in the hand without heaviness at the table. A vintage Bavarian porcelain plate set in classic white, suited to everyday use and occasions alike.

Made by Alt Tirschenreuth, a Bavarian porcelain house founded in 1838 and long associated with the fine white-clay deposits of the Fichtelgebirge region, this set dates to the 1980s. The Tirschenreuth area remains one of Europe's foremost porcelain production centres — a tradition that has shaped European table culture for over two centuries.
