Polished steel in the clean, space-age line of 1970s Italian design — the pot you set down in the middle of the table and pour from slowly, while the afternoon carries on around it.

Two sizes of the same IMCO coffee pot, each sharing a clean cylindrical body, a curved handle, and a domed removable lid. The larger pot serves a full table of six to eight; the medium is the everyday size for three or four, at home on a breakfast tray or a sideboard. Function carried the form — nothing here is decorative for its own sake.

The reflective surface brings a quiet luminosity to the setting, and the weight reads as the real object it is. IMCO was an Italian stainless-steel maker whose tableware became shorthand for the period's modernist confidence; pieces like these remain in circulation as dependable, collectible objects of their decade.
