Glass Drop Christmas Ornament | 10cm

A bauble that carries its own history — the weight of glass in the hand, the way a crystal drop scatters light across a wall when the tree is lit.

Cut from original glass drops salvaged from 1950s Italian chandeliers, each piece is entirely unique. The almond drop form, the depth of the cut facets, the clarity of the glass — none of it can be replicated at volume. An alpaca wool cord in soft natural tones ties each drop, a quietly warm contrast against the hard brilliance of the crystal. Light surface marks and feather-fine edge chips may be present — the honest signature of glass that has already lived one life. Hung individually or in clusters, each piece catches and throws light in a way flat-printed ornaments cannot.

A glass chandelier drop ornament upcycled from 1950s Italian production. Italian chandelier glass from this period was worked to standards now largely lost — hand-cut, hand-finished, designed to last generations.
