Cast aluminium body with a deep burgundy handle. The two-chamber construction works by pressure — fill the base, screw the chambers together, and heat. At 3–4 cup capacity, scaled for a small table or a morning routine for two. Patina and surface staining across the aluminium body are consistent with decades of kitchen use. No rubber seal included. A vintage moka pot from the early Italian stovetop coffee tradition, as functional in form as it is in use.

A Caffexpress aluminium moka pot made in Italy in the 1950s. The Italian stovetop coffee maker is one of the defining domestic objects of the twentieth century — the Bialetti patent of 1933 set the pressure-chamber form that every subsequent maker, including Caffexpress, followed.

Care Instructions

• Hand wash only — do not put in dishwasher
• Rinse the aluminium body with warm water and dry immediately to prevent further oxidation
• Do not use abrasive cloths or steel wool on the aluminium surface
• A rubber seal is required before use — source a standard 3–4 cup moka replacement gasket
