Silver Plated Candle Holders | Set of 2 · 1960s Italian

Item Type: Pre-Loved

Two candle holders that earn their place through age rather than polish — the kind of objects that look more at home as the years go on.

Silver plated with a warm, developed patina across the surface. The form is attributed to Lino Sabattini's Gisel model — a sinuous, sculptural silhouette associated with Italian silver design of the 1960s. Each holder stands independently; the bases are absent, which gives them a pared-back profile that reads as intentional rather than incomplete. The patina is even and adds depth to the plating rather than competing with it.

Silver plated candle holders attributed to the Gisel model by Lino Sabattini, made in Italy in the 1960s. Sabattini's work for Christofle and under his own name defined Italian silver design of the period and is held in museum collections across Europe.
