Item Type: Pre-Loved
A smoked glass bowl that earns its place in a room without trying — on a sideboard, a coffee table, or set out for an evening when small things need somewhere to land.
Mouth-blown in tinted glass with a soft brown smoke finish that deepens in low light. The swirl detail runs through the glass itself — not applied, not printed. The two pieces stack as a lidded bowl, reverse to become two individual serving or display dishes, or separate into four distinct configurations depending on how you want to use it. The form is the same either way — round, considered, quietly decorative.
Veropa was a French glassware house producing decorative and domestic glass through the 1970s, working in the smoked and tinted glass idiom that defined the decade's interior aesthetic. Pieces from this period were made for households that wanted something between purely functional and purely ornamental — objects that worked both ways. This bowl is a good example of that intention.
