Jean Couzon Cake Set | 13 Pieces · 1970s

Item Type: Pre-Loved

A cake service for the table that takes dessert seriously — twelve forks and a lifter, brought out when something has been baked and is meant to be shared properly.

Stainless steel with a beaded trim running the length of each handle and around the server. The bead detail is the signature: a fine raised edge that catches the light and gives the pieces weight in the hand. Twelve forks at 14 cm and one cake server at 25 cm — a full setting for a gathering, with the lifter to match.

Jean Couzon founded his house in 1934 and built it into one of France's leading makers of stainless steel flatware and holloware, known for clean modern lines through the post-war decades. This set is from the 1970s, the height of that production.
