Set down before the glass — on a side table in the evening, or along the length of a laid dinner table.

Pressed inox with a beaded rim raised around the edge. The bead catches light and keeps a base steady. Two formats: 10 × 10 cm for glasses, 14 × 14 cm for bottles and carafes. Sold individually, so the number is yours to build. They take a candle as easily as a glass, hold canapés at a drinks party, or sit on a bedside table for a watch and a pair of rings.

Beaded stainless steel coasters, made in Italy in the 1970s. Italian inox of that decade worked to 18/10, the alloy specification that keeps the surface bright and resists pitting decades on.

Care Instructions

• Hand wash in warm water and dry immediately to keep the stainless steel bright
• Avoid abrasive cloths and scouring pads — they will dull the beaded rim
• Dry thoroughly after contact with wine, citrus or salt, which mark inox if left to sit
• Store flat and stacked, with tissue between each

Cared for this way, they stay on the table for another fifty years.
