Two Italian pressed glass espresso cups — the kind that appear on the table without ceremony and stay there every morning without question.

A swirl pattern pressed into the glass catches the colour of the coffee and the light at the same time. 6.5 cm wide, 5.2 cm high — the right size for espresso or a short black. No chips, no cracks. No brand marking either — anonymous Italian glassware at its most honest.

Pressed glassware of this type was produced in small Italian workshops through the 1960s and 70s, sold without a label to the domestic market as functional everyday objects. The lack of branding is the point — made to be used, not displayed.

• We ship Monday to Friday, excluding Italian bank holidays.
• Orders placed before 6pm CET (on a work day) are shipped next day.

Customs & duties: For orders outside the EU, any applicable customs fees or duties are the responsibility of the buyer
