The 5070 series, designed as mini-architecture for the table, has been in use for five decades (designed in 1972) , showcasing Sottsass’s ability to elevate the archetypal form and material of a simple condiment set through minimal yet impactful lines.

Ettore Sottsass
Born in Innsbruck in 1917, he is internationally recognized as a key figure in the architectural and design revolution that moved beyond the strict functionalism prevalent before and after World War II. As a distinguished Maestro of Italian design, his work is characterized by a dynamic use of color and form that challenges conventional intellectualism and rigidity. He passed away in December 2007, leaving a lasting impact on the design world.
